FARMERS BRANCH Prescott Realty Group announced that it has a new tenant in its Walnut Glen Tower building: McQueary Henry Bowles Troy, (MHBT), one of the largest privately owned insurance and risk management firms in the U.S.
MHBT will be moving its Dallas headquarters in June 2009 from 12700 Park Central Drive to the Walnut Glen Tower building at 8144 Walnut Hill Lane. The firm signed a 7-year lease to occupy 65,000 square feet of office space spanning the top three floors of the building. The firm will be moving 144 employees.
"MHBT has sustained a prominent presence in Dallas, so when we were looking for a new home, we really didn’t consider a permanent location anywhere else," said Bill Henry, chairman and CEO of MHBT.
"When I was commissioned by MHBT in 2001 to serve as its real estate division, I was charged with finding its new building, a process that became a long-term labor of love for me and the firm," said Wayne Swearingen, chairman and founder of Barclay Commercial Group. "After more than seven years of vigorous searching, when the opportunity presented itself with Walnut Glen Tower, we jumped at the chance to begin discussions. Working closely with Mike Harris, CIO of MHBT and Duane Henley, the leasing agent for Walnut Glen Tower, all the pieces fell into place and it was the perfect match."
In addition to obtaining prominent signage on both sides of the building and securing “Class A” office space that will be customized for the company’s specific needs, MHBT and its employees will also enjoy the benefits of being within walking distance of the DART Walnut Hill light rail station, as well as proximity to many dining and retail amenities.

Nice. AIG moves out and a respectful insurance agency moves right in.
I'd be pretty happy about this if I worked at PNHQ (or in either of the buildings).
