Longhorn Stadium field in Cedar Hill getting ready for repairs. Again.
This time their drainage issues will cost $1.1 million to fix. For that price, maybe they should build a new stadium and start a rice paddy business at the old field for revenue.
The field at Longhorn Stadium in Cedar Hill has had problems with standing water since the field opened in 1999. Cedar Hill ISD put in a new drainage system and new turf two years ago for nearly a half million dollars, but that system has failed. This year Cedar Hill ISD will be installing a new drain system and turf for a whopping $1.1 million. It's either that or making the marching band swim around during half-time.
