Mansfield City Council approves exploratory gas drilling

Oil & gas company EOG Resources had requested that the City of Mansfield allow them to drill exploratory gas wells on four sites in the planned South Pointe development.

Well, they got part of what they asked for, in that on Monday (July 14) the council approved drilling on two of the four sites.

Significantly, the number of wells that will be drilled under the revised agreement is still the same - 42 - as it would have been if all four requested sites had been approved.

Hmm... I wonder how they'll work that?
