Under the agreements, both Birmingham and St. Louis County have invested in Tyler’s INCODE Court Case Management product to manage municipal court cases and document processing.

Brett Cate, president of Tyler’s INCODE solutions, believes these contracts point to Tyler’s strong reputation for providing municipal courts with a solution to meet their specific needs. “Tyler has proven its ability to meet the needs of court systems throughout the United States. Our INCODE court solution is fully integrated and customizable. We are pleased to provide the municipal courts in St. Louis County and the City of Birmingham with the technology required to improve services to the public and achieve optimal operating efficiency,” he stated.

Renee Hines-Tyce, court administrator for St. Louis County, commented on the County’s decision to invest in Tyler’s INCODE court solution. “We expect Tyler’s INCODE court solution to increase our court case processing productivity and improve functionality in court operations. Implementing Tyler’s solution will enable e-court initiatives, including enhanced customer service, Web self-service, Web payments, and document filing. It will also facilitate e-communication between St. Louis County departments,” she explained.

According to Bettye M. King, court administrator for Birmingham Municipal Court, Birmingham’s Municipal Court Selection Team, which was charged with evaluating and choosing the new court case management system, decided to invest in Tyler’s INCODE court solution because it provides the functionality the Birmingham court system requires without the need for extensive customization. “The INCODE solution will replace the City’s legacy system, which requires extensive data entry and a programmer to make modifications. The ability of Tyler’s INCODE system to interface with the Police Department and e-citations, as well as Traffic Engineering and handheld parking tickets factored into our decision to purchase Tyler’s solution,” she stated.
