Irving-based Healthvision acquires Medisolution’s Healthcare Products and Services Division
IRVING Healthvision today entered into a definitive agreement to purchase the majority of MediSolution’s Healthcare Products & Services Division’s assets, a leading healthcare technology provider headquartered in Montreal, Quebec. The acquisition of MediSolution’s Healthcare Products and Services division, with the exception of the blood bank business, allows Healthvision to expand their current reach into the Canadian marketplace with the addition of MediSolution’s customer footprint.
The MediSolution healthcare-specific product suite includes electronic health record systems, a patient management suite, clinical department systems, lab information systems, and public health and community care solutions.
“The ever increasing demands for information at the right place and time within a healthcare organization make this acquisition a natural fit for Healthvision in the Canadian market,” said Russell Fleisher, chief executive officer of Healthvision. “We continue to search for new acquisitions that allow our existing customers to benefit from newly acquired product offerings as well as benefit new customers with Healthvision’s existing products and services. The company will continue to support all of our collective products with exceptional customer service. We are very excited to welcome MediSolution’s Healthcare Products and Services customers and partners to the Healthvision team.”
“This is an excellent transaction,” said Paul Lepage, president and chief executive officer of MediSolution. “Healthvision will bring all the customers currently served by MediSolution’s Healthcare Products and Services Division exciting new capabilities that will enhance their existing integration and software solutions.”
