Keller sick of being separated by zip codes
KELLER Some non-76248 Keller residents are sick and tired of not getting their mail, and the Keller City Council is looking to help them out. The council voted unanimously to request that the USPS change the zip codes of two areas of town that currently share codes with Roanoke and North Richland Hills. The council plans to hold town meetings prior to the request to ensure that there is sufficient community support for the proposal.
The main complaints from non-76248 citizen have been not getting mail, an inability to get the Keller Citizen delivered (a complaint more appropriate for the paper, IMO) and "feeling second-class status and lack of identity with community." Um, huh? Maybe it's a small town thing, but I've never identified myself by my zip code.
