Rangers’ Michael Young wins All-Star Game with sacrifice fly
Young's sac fly came in the bottom of the 15th inning, matching the longest game in All-Star history.
For the second time in three years, the Texas Rangers' Michael Young drove in the winning run for the American League in MLB's All-Star Game, lofting a sacrifice fly to right field that was just deep enough to allow the Minnesota Twins' Justin Morneau to score from third base. The game matched the longest (inning-wise) in All-Star history, lasting 15 innings and 4 hours and 50 minutes, ending at 12:37 a.m. Dallas time.
With Josh Hamilton's home run display the night before, is it too soon to say that the Rangers are back on the national stage?
