UPDATE: Arlington Martin alum looking for Olympic gold takes bronze in freestyle wrestling
UPDATE: Though Kaori Icho put Randi Miller out of gold medal contention, she blanked Olesya Zamula of Azerbaijan in the Repechage Round 2 and took out Martine Dugrenier of Canada to grab the 2008 Olympic bronze in Women's Freestyle 63kg wrestling earlier this week. Watch the video here (Randi's bronze medal match starts around the 52 minute mark).

After upsetting the 2004 freestyle wrestling silver medalist, Sara McMann, in the U.S. Olympic trials, Miller's ultimate test is to beat Japan's Kaori Icho, who has 17 gold medals spanning a spanning 19 international competitions.

Laura Evans, says:
I knew Randi in high school and am so happy for her! I remember her being incredibly hard working and she definitely deserves this. Good luck in the August!

Erin Rice, says:
Randi is out of gold medal contention after getting pinned by the returning Olympic champion, Kaori Icho. She could still get a bronze, but she has to win her next two matches.
