Dallas homeless shelter, The Bridge, forced to start getting act together
The facility will enact a curfew and start checking IDs.
Amid overcrowding and allegations involving security issues, Dallas' new homeless shelter will enact a curfew and start checking IDs for its inhabitants. While the overcrowding is obvious, many of the other allegations against The Bridge came from PATH Partners of Los Angeles, whose contract was mutually ended late June. While the center did not previously have such checks on residents, so as not to put another hurdle between the street and shelter, the current state of affairs needed to be addressed.

More than you would think. The Stewpot downtown works to get homeless people state issued IDs to prove their identity and other organizations have similar services, including the Bridge.
