The Texas Rangers came out of the All-Star break flat on Friday night, losing 6-0 to the Twins in Minneapolis. The loss dropped the Rangers to 50-47 on the season.

Previous to Friday's game, the Rangers were the only team in the majors not to have been shutout. The last time Texas was held without a run was, coincidentally, against former Twins ace Johan Santana, who struck out 17 Rangers en route to a shutout last season.

No Rangers hitters seemed to have anything in the tank, including All-Stars Ian Kinsler and Josh Hamilton. Kinsler went 0-for-4 to end his hitting streak at 25 games, while Hamilton also went 0-for-4 just a few nights after his mammoth 28 home runs in the Home Run Derby.

Michael Young went 1-for-3 to extend his hitting streak to 16 games, while fourth and final All-Star Milton Bradley went 1-for-3 with a walk.

Rangers starter Kevin Millwood pitched better than he has recently, but not good enough to match Twins starter Glen Perkin's dominance. Millwood lasted just over six innings, giving up five runs on eleven hits --nine of which were singles.
