As a part of the City’s Concrete Repair program, sections of Dalrock Road from Lakeview Parkway (Hwy 66) south to Chiesa Road will be closed beginning Monday, July 21 to allow for replacement of several failed sections of pavement. These improvements are expected to take approximately four weeks to complete.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane in those sections during the repairs, and motorists are asked to observe caution signs and reduce their speed through those areas.
Hickox Road, from Castle Road to Rowlett Road, has been reduced to one lane in several sections as failed pavement is being replaced. This project is expected to be complete during the week of July 22, weather permitting.
In the City’s Asphalt Reconstruction program, work began on July 14 on Vinson Road from Elm Grove Road to Stonewall Road. Traffic is being reduced to one lane of traffic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. while the street is reconstructed. The improvements are expected to take three weeks to complete.
“We hope to complete these projects with as little disruption to traffic as possible,” said Robbin Webber, Street Superintendent. “I know motorists will enjoy the improvements once they are finished.”
