Dallas may get new Parkland Hospital
not provided by Parkland Hospital board
With the advance of technology, all kinds of new hospital features are possible.
The Parkland Memorial Hospital board of managers is expected to vote today on a plan to replace the 53-year-old Parkland facility - considered by many to be overcrowded and rundown - with a shiny new 862-bed hospital building, at a cost of about $1.2 billion.
Since the cost of the new hospital will be borne by taxpayers, the issue will need to go before Dallas County voters in the Nov. general election.

Dallas County?!! It won't go through. They are too worried about black holes and other ridiculous topics.
