Pugs and Kelly left Live 105.3 at the end of last week, and have already been seen in a meeting at Cumulus, where The Bone's Cindy Scull and Robert Miguel were fired left of their own accord* after their show Tuesday morning. For now, Big Dick Hunter will be filling Pugs & Kelly's former slot.

All this the same day Russ Martin returns to the airwaves following his weekend run-in with Southlake cops. Martin won't discuss the incident leading to his arrest, but says he will talk about the experience in jail.

*UPDATE: An email from Cindy Scull contends that she and Robert Miguel were not fired from The Bone. According to the very large-font missive, she and Miguel's contracts were up and they approached the station about not renewing.

Although 105.3 management had officially said Martin was going back on today, they changed their minds at the 11th hour:

Word on the down-low is that P&K walked because of Russ. From what I could gather, there were ongoing behavior issues on his part. Allegedly. Big surprise.

Why was Cindy Scull fired? Was it just a ratings thing?

Aww - I really liked that show. I listen to Russ a lot too so I can see why they would run... interesting that the station hasn't said anything....

Blow that station up and start over. Ease back on the suck a bit next time.

I like BDH. At least he has a brain. Although, I hope he gets a better producer for the new time slot. His other show really lacked direction. Or, it could be that I only ever caught it after a longer-than-it-should-have-been happy hour. Maybe a little of both?

Cindy Scull's email, referenced above:

"Cindy and Robert were not fired at the Bone, we opted not to renew. Our contract was over today and we approached them yesterday about not renewing.

Thanks and next time, maybe you should research your info before publishing. Thanks, Cindy Scull"

Yeah, BDH is actually scary intelligent. I hope he succeeds.

Uh huh. Because NOBODY pays attention to contract expirations anymore. Pretty sure if that were truly the case, station would have contacted them long ago about renewing.

Just sayin'.

Well…next time, maybe you should start your contract negotiations earlier. Nice spin though.

Thank goodness Pugs is gone. Kelly was tolerable, but Pugs’ incessant whining was enough to drive Jerry Garcia or Bob Marley homicidal. The IRS along with Pugs’ mundane and trivial show material is probably what drove Russ over the edge.
