Riverwood Road in Dallas focus of two recent brutal assaults
The woods along the Trinity River in southeast Dallas turn out not be a safe place for late-night parking.
Late Sunday night (July 20) an unnamed young man and woman were parked in their car in the woods bordering Riverwood Road just next to the Trinity River. They were surprised, assaulted and robbed by two men who fired a shot into their rear window to get them to open their locked car doors.
Things went rapidly downhill for the couple from that point; they were stripped, the woman was sexually assaulted and the man was robbed of his debit card and PIN number (which they beat out of him with a tire iron).
The Sunday night attack follows another one that happened on July 5 in the same area.
