All-America Rose Selection winning roses for 2009 now blooming in Farmers Branch
FARMERS BRANCH All-America Rose Selection’s 2009 winning roses, Pink Promise and Cinco de Mayo™ are now in full bloom at the National Earth-Kind® Trial Rose Garden and Display Gardens in Gussie Field Watterworth Park, on Valley View Lane at Dennis, near Farmers Branch City Hall. The third 2009 winning rose selection, Carefree Spirit™ is expected to arrive in Farmers Branch later this year or in early 2009.
All-America Rose Selection (AARS) is a non-profit association dedicated to the introduction of exceptional roses for today’s gardener, and to helping find the best roses for their garden. While not yet available for purchase, Farmers Branch residents and guest can preview these winning roses before the 2009 planting season.
In addition to the current and past AARS winners on display there are many other roses showing their colors in spite of the dry hot summer weather. For more information contact Farmers Branch Park Landscape Manager Pam Smith at pam.smith@farmers branch.info or 972-919-2625.
