Former Dallas City Councilman James Fantroy released from jail after 30 days
DALLAS Ex-Dallas City Council member James Fantroy was released from prison on Wednesday, after serving a 30-day sentence at a Fort Worth federal prison.
Doesn't that seem like it went by really quickly? The 30 days of incarceration did nothing to decrease his "bull-headed idiot" quotient, since he was still blabbering when he got out that he won't acknowledge he's guilty of theft for writing checks from an account of the Paul Quinn College community development corporation. His lawyer told jurors that he took the money because he was broke.
He'll now be confined to home for six months, followed by two years of probation.
