Also helping the homeless — Baron and Blue, who this week gave big bucks to area non-profits.
Acting out: Shawn reviews Project X's shows at the Festival of Independent Theater, Orange Oranges and So There, as well as Rover Dramawerks' Mary's Wedding. Rover Dramawerks' Jason Rice contributes a Pegasus user review of MBS Productions' Persistence in Memory. MBS Productions reviews Footloose, as does birthday boy John Garcia of The Column. Dallas Voice also reviewed Theatre Three's House and Garden.
Flix: On the film front this week, reviews of the new X-Files movie, Step Brothers, and the retro-Brit drama Brideshead Revisited are on tap for Friday (check the Movies tab), along with a glimpse into legendary director Werner Herzog's documentary about life in Antarctica called Encounters at the End of the World. (Yes, there are people who live there.) In prior posts, we ran a reader review of The Dark Knight and noted the official retirement of beloved critic Roger Ebert from At the Movies
