Dallas ISD board wants new Arts Magnet to keep its old name
DALLAS — When Dallas ISD's Arts Magnet high school re-opened in April, students, parents, alumni, and passersby were confused by the words Hamon Arts Magnet on the new building, honoring donor Nancy Hamon. The Dallas ISD board will vote August 28 on its recommendation to keep the original name, Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts.
