WHITE ROCK HILLS The Dallas Police Department's Alan Bull sent neighborhood leaders an email about gang activity around the Shiloh Village Apartments:
From one of my Officers;
Here is the information that I originally got on the Shiloh Village Problem with the You Tube. Tonight I was strolling through the 220s on John West and stopped 5 of them for walking in the road and riding bicycles on the sidewalk. We identified Dukes, David; Dukes,Jamad; Quarles Alex; Moore Dominique; and Brown; Rashad. Most of them live or have lived in 2626 John West and 8702 Shiloh Rd. So you can tell (the community) that we are indeed getting to know some of these knuckleheads down there...
From another officer:
I have received information on a gang called SVG "Shiloh Village Gangsters" who are causing problems and graffiti at several apartments in the area of La Prada & John West. They stay at 8702 Shiloh and the Mgr. is willing to help us in anyway she can. Her phone number is [redacted].
The officer reports names and apartment numbers of the gang members, so I'd say they're on top of it.
And there are, indeed, YouTube videos posted by user 8702shiloh. Most of them involve a bunch of kids flashing what look to be gang hand signs over a hip-hop soundtrack and dancing around. There's some fistfighting too, but to mine eyes it looks fake. I was hoping to find video of some serious lawbreaking, but no such luck...

Wow - Well, there is a good chance a property manager will be getting beat up some time soon. Or at the very least, some crank phone calls.

Interesting point, jtmbls. Based on that, I decided there was no good reason to post the phone number here and redacted. Anyone who wants it can contact me directly.

I am a Board member of another non-profit called Drums Not Guns, and we went and facilitated a drum circle during the apartment's Summer Bash. A lot of the African children and mothers joined us, as well as the smaller children- as I was leaving a large group of teens and adults were listening to rap and dancing around the pool. These people have their work cut out for them for sure.
