10 bands vie for Ozzfest opening slot in “Garage to Ozz” Battle of the Bands, August 7

A number of them local (a number of them not, i.e. Istanbul), 10 bands made the finals to perform at this year's ONE DAY ONLY OZZFEST BLOWOUT EXTRAVAGANZA! Also known as, three days after Sharon Osbourne's August botox shots.

The 10 bands will battle on August 7th at The Loft in South Dallas. All were voted to the "Garage to Ozzfest" finals through online balloting. The contest will be judged by a three-person panel: Big Dave from the MTV show Battle for Ozzfest; Rita Haney, longtime girlfriend of Dimebag Darrell; and John Fenton from Ozzy's management. The panel will judge based on their observations and audience participation, a.k.a. screaming and ratio of heads to banging per band, one would assume.
