d. (Repeat) The club's application to join the Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Program has been approved. We are now members of this program for the current period which ends April 30, 2009. You can help the club earn a percentage of Kroger's donations to the program by using your Kroger Plus Card whenever you make purchases at Kroger. Please print the attached "Kroger Customer Letter/SWBC Bar Code", take it to Kroger on your next visit, join the Kroger Plus Card program if not already a member and have the Kroger customer service desk or cashier scan your Kroger Plus Card and the bar code on the form so that subsequent purchases you make with your Kroger Plus Card can benefit the club. If you are not yet a member of the Kroger Plus Card program, joining is easy. Applications are available at any Kroger cashier or at the customer service desk. Membership in the Southwest Bluegrass Club is not a prerequisite for this program. If you are not a member of the club, you can still help us out by joining the Kroger program. Please be aware that the program states: "if the Kroger Plus Card is not presented during a transaction, your organization's account will not be credited". Merely giving the cashier your phone number may avail you of any Kroger Plus discounts but your purchase will not benefit the club so please remember to use your Kroger Plus Card whenever you shop at Kroger. In addition, some items you may purchase are "ineligible purchases", excluded by law and will not be credited toward the program. These include: alcohol, tobacco, pharmacy. postage stamps, gift cards/certificates, lottery/promotional tickets, fuel, sales tax and other items.

f. (Repeat) Southwest Bluegrass Club announcement:
The board of directors of the Southwest Bluegrass Club is considering the possibility of moving our meeting place to a location that better suits the needs of the membership. We are looking for a place that is close to the club’s demographic center (approximately the intersection of Hwy 183 and Hwy 360), has seating room for a larger audience (approximately 200-300), has adequate acoustics and stage, has separate rooms to accommodate jams and workshops as well as the regular meetings and is affordable to the club. All members are encouraged to help in the search for a new meeting place. If you are aware of a location that may suit the club, please contact Paul Stimson (817 929-8391, stimsonpaul@sbcglobal.net ) or Ed Flynn (817 275-3104, txflynn@tx.rr.com )
We are continuing to look - we've seen a number of potential venues, none of which we feel will meet our needs
