Dallas’ Old Red Museum voted Best Venue of the Year by ISES
Dallas, TX - The Old Red Museum of Dallas County History & Culture recently received an award for being the Best Venue of the Year given by ISES (International Special Event Society) D/FW Metroplex chapter. The local ISES chapter held the award ceremony on July 21, 2008 at the Studio Movie Grill in Dallas. The Old Red Museum received one of several awards given that night.
Linda Murdock, Old Red Museum's (ORM) Sales Director said "we are both honored and humbled to be given this award. We truly believe our facility provides Dallas area event planners one of the most unique venues in the area. The 1892 Romanesque architecture provides outstanding ambiance as well as stunning views of downtown Dallas." Adds Terrell Falk, ORM President, "It is especially nice to be recognized at this level in our first full year of business." The Old Red Museum's 4th floor's Great Hall and other rooms have been home to over 150 weddings, receptions and other events this past year.
ISES', International Special Events Society, mission is to educate, advance and promote the special events industry and its network of professionals along with other related industries.
The Old Red Museum of Dallas County History & Culture is located in the West End of downtown Dallas at 100 South Houston Street in the beautifully restored Old Red Courthouse built in 1892. Dedicated to inspire and educate visitors about the rich and varied cultural, economic, political and social history of the Dallas County area, the 2nd floor of Old Red is filled with interactive exhibits, 41 touch-screen computers, an educational learning center and four mini-theatres. The special exhibit gallery is located on the first floor.
Admission to The Civil War Through the Eyes of North Texans is included in general admission. General admission is $8, Children ages three to sixteen are $5 and Seniors are $6. Admission to the Civil War exhibit without general admission is $3 for adults and $1 for children. Thats a real nice place, still have not been invited by the boys from Ohio who run Old Red,..Thats ok.... I love Dallas despite whos running the zoo, until then. A.T
