Lancaster ISD board to investigate superintendent
Board hired a lawyer to find out if Superintendent Larry Lewis has "withheld information from board members and tampered with their mail."
The Lancaster ISD board of trustees has hired a lawyer to find out if Superintendent Larry Lewis has "withheld information from board members and tampered with their mail." Both accusations stem from audits of the school districts, which have resulted in a conservator being hired to look over the district's finances.

Mike Orren, says:
As it appears that things in Lancaster ISD are finally unraveling, and therefore hopefully in a position to be put back together, I'd like to take my hat off to the PegNews users who have done so much work to investigate and report what's going on.
You can see their work here, dating back to 2006 and spanning a time when no one in the professional press was paying attention and when Lancaster did not have its own newspaper, bought and paid for by the school district: http://www.pegasusnews.com/news/in/sc...

Thanks for giving us a place to voice concerns, Mike. The great thing about the Internet is that it's impossible to silence everyone. Or anyone, really. Here's hoping the TEA gets this worked out.
