Texas suffered from several of the same problems they had during recent losses: blowing leads and surrendering huge innings. Up 7-4 heading into the seventh, Texas pitchers gave up nine runs in the top of the inning and never recovered.

Rangers starter Scott Feldman pitched decently, going six innings and giving up just four runs --three of them earned-- while walking two and striking out two. It wasn't until Feldman was relieved by Jamey Wright, Robinson Tejeda and Frank Francisco that everything went terribly wrong for the Rangers: the three combined to give up nine runs, six hits, four walks and two home runs to the A's.

Several Rangers had big days at the plate: Milton Bradley went 2-for-5 with two runs and three RBI, including a two-run shot in the first. Josh Hamilton went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and a pair of RBI, increasing his AL-leading home run total to 15 and his major-league leading RBI total to 63.

Saturday Tastings in the Wine and Beer Department Little Joey just LOVES the Saturday wine tastings at Central Market - he particularly likes the blind tastings, when he can sneak a snort while Mommie's not looking. (Great nose!) More info
