— On June 1, at approximately 5:40 p.m., Plano police officers responded to the 700 block of 18th Street in reference to a stabbing.

Upon officers arrival, a Hispanic male in his mid-to-late 20s was discovered with a stab wound to the stomach. The victim was transported to a local area hospital where he later died due to his injuries.

Upon further investigation, a second victim, also a Hispanic male, was located inside the apartment with a chest wound. The second victim was transported to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

At this time, the events leading up to the stabbing are unknown.

UPDATE: The deceased victim has been identified as Arron Enrique Sanchez, a 38-year-old Hispanic male from Guatemala. The delay in identification was due to the notification of next of kin.

This investigation is currently ongoing.
