Manu Chao could be Manu Wow, if you're into that sort of thing.

Austin City Limits Festival 2008 is coming up, and by coming up, I mean that it's still 115 days away, but that's closer than it was back when we bought the tickets, so thank god for the natural passage of time. Today the festival announced the official schedule. The Mars Volta and Manu Chao headline Friday night, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss play opposite Beck in the Saturday night headlining slots, while the Foo Fighters cap the event off on Sunday night.

ACL has also started selling single-day passes at $80 a pop, however, the three-day tickets for $170 are still available. Don't be that guy who buys his tickets after the three-day packages sell out and ends up spending 70% more than he would have otherwise.

Good to see Gogol Bordello is making an appearance. I highly recommend seeing them instead of whatever other chumps are playing at the same time.

Damn that Meg White. Raconteurs are going to be there, hopefully none of them have any kind of break-downs the week of.

Canceled my trip b/c of that last year. =(

$170 bucks for a 3 day? Damn, son! Last time I went it was around $100 for a 3 day pass. There are some solid mid tier bands this years but the headliners are really underwhelming. Plus, I don't think I'll go back until they move it to October.

The Trains at NorthPark Oh, no! Godzilla got into the Northpark train exhibit! But don't worry, the engineers will have it back up and running in time for your mall visit. And now, BEFORE the big holiday rush, is the best time to see them, before hundreds of drooling children take over the enclosure after Thanksgiving. More info
