Parker City Council meets to fill seat vacancy

When Parker City Councilperson Joe Cordina won the mayoral election, he created a vacancy on the city council itself, since he already was one. (A councilperson, I mean - not a vacancy.)

Naked jalapeño bingo might look something like this, only the person's arm wouldn't be ensleeved and the marker would be replaced by juicy jalapeño slices.

Thus, when the Parker City Council meets in executive session at 6 p.m. on June 3, they'll be discussing the candidates who have made application to fill his unexpired term. They may also conduct interviews with applicants. (Heck, they might also play naked jalapeño-slice bingo for all we know - it's behind closed doors, after all.)

During the regular, open-to-the-public session (beginning 'round about 7 p.m.), topics under discussion will include:

* possible amendment to the city's bulk trash pickup schedule with Allied Waste

* electrical service options

* alignment of Chaparral Road

* coserve easement along FM 2551

* animal control services options

* auctioning off of a retired police vehicle (hopefully not this kind)

* procedure for appointing board members

Sounds like a busy evening.
