TwoRows on Greenville Avenue in Dallas closes

Landlords were "just ridiculous."

When this photo was taken, TwoRows was still open. But now it is closed.

— TwoRows Classic Grill on Greenville Avenue closed down -- "about a month ago," according to a spokeswoman.

"The restaurant was doing great, business was good, but it was a leased building, and the landlords were just ridiculous," she said. "They raised the rent like six times in a year. We weren't making enough money to make it worthwhile, so we decided say thanks for 15 years." (Wow, it's been open 15 years?)

The company was also simultaneously in the process of opening its new branch in Garland at the Firewheel complex off the George Bush Tollway.

Though the owners haven't fully abandoned the idea of opening another branch in Dallas, most of their searching is going on in the suburbs, in areas such as Southlake and Rowlett, and possibly Austin.

While TwoRows has a large menu that incorporates everything from Tex-Mex to "brick-oven pizza" to burger and pastas, it's best known for its beer, with brewery masters on site. Other branches are located in Allen, Addison, and Houston.

Yup... for most of its latter-day life, this place was always a 3 dressed up as a 9.

Only wasting my time...
