Duncanville is proud to announce that it will be the site of this year’s USA Track & Field Southwestern Association Junior Olympic Championship from June 19 - June 21 at Panther Stadium at Duncanville High School.

Special Events Coordinator Angie Henley said the track meet is a great opportunity for the city to be a part of the USA Track & Field youth program tradition.

“I am very excited that the USA Track & Field Junior Olympics are coming to Duncanville,” said Henley. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to showcase the many amenities that the city has to offer from great hotels, restaurants, shopping, friendly atmosphere and state-of-the art sports facilities while allowing citizens and supporters to view one of the most popular sports in the world.”

It is estimated that more than 5,000 athletes, coaches, and supporters will attend the Association Championship track meet. The event is open to the public. Notable USA Track & Field Youth Program alumni include Maurice Greene, Carl Lewis and Jackie Joyner-Kersee.
