Former Rockwall District Attorney Ray Sumrow’s attorney states bank account deposits a mistake
ROWLETT Attorney James Wheeler, attorney for former Rockwall District Attorney Ray Sumrow, tried to emphasize Thursday morning during Sumrow’s trial on charges of theft and abuse of official capacity that the "$68,000 deposit of state money into his client’s personal bank account was a mistake.
FBI Special Agent Brent Chambers disagreed with Wheeler, stating that the facts of the case, plus Sumrow’s repeated changes in his explanation didn’t add up.
The investigation was tripped off when former county treasurer Shereé Jones told Sheriff Harold Eavenson of Sumrow’s actions after she admitted taking and later repaying $2,100 in county money. Sheriff Eavenson asked the FBI and Texas Rangers to investigate Sumrow beginning in fall 2006.

Don't be confused about these trials Sumrow is going though. Sumrow was the golden boy for The Honroable Grag Abbott Before being investigated. And who was it that investigated him? The same cops that investigated all the other special trials that Sumrow has tried many times in the past 20 years for the State, not County, but in addition to Rockwall county, he would work hand in hand with Ranger Chris Clark, which is who investigated Sumrow. Another fact that you should be clear about is Clark's former boss, sort of the real life retired boss of Walker Texas Ranger, grew up with Sumrow in Greenville, TX, and they are the same age, both became cops, and are best of friends.
Let me clarify, Sumrow is best friends with Ranger Chris Clarks former boss. They could all be referred to as the three amigos and it would fit, if you know what I mean...
