Tomato or <a href="http://www.pegasusnews.com/contributor/chris-curotolo/">curotolo</a>, which is more deadly? I think we all know the answer to that.

Salmonella scare = hysteria = pull tomatoes from the shelves. Forcing consumers throughout Texas, New Mexico and Louisiana to eat cherry tomatoes instead of the "red round" and Roma to which they have become accustomed. Cherry tomatoes! Those are for salad bars and garnishes that roll around on your plate and are awkward to eat in public because you can't cut them in half gracefully but possibly more problematic if you put them in your mouth whole.

The thing is, the tomato's skin would have to be broken for it to be a problem. But whatever. Away the tomatoes go.

So far, there've been 64 cases of salmonella Saintpaul in Texas and New Mexico, but still only four in Dallas.

I somehow doubt those 4 folks in Dallas bought the only tainted tomatoes in the city, apparently we just don't know about the others...yet. Is it possible to find out just where those four bought their tomatoes?

With over 500 confirmed cases now ...meaning there are lots more.... It's not over folks!!!

OH NO!

Stay inside! Be afraid! The killer tomatoes are out to get you!

Why is this getting so much attention?

The CDC cites 50 thousand salmonellosis cases a year. How is this any different?
