Dallas Deputy Mayor Pro-Tem Dwaine R. Caraway to host Teen Summit Healthcare Career Camp

— Dallas Deputy Mayor Pro-Tem Dwaine R. Caraway will host Teen Summit on the road at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children this Saturday. During the Teen Summit Healthcare Career Camp, youth will learn about a variety of career options available in the health care industry. The event will feature leading practitioners and researches in the health care profession.

“The Teen Summits continue to provide a platform where our youth can interact, get valuable information and give them the self-esteem to become productive citizens,” says Mr. Caraway. The Healthcare Career Camp will allow our teens to explore the many career opportunities in the health care field.”

Attendees will compete to win one of two $500 scholarships by preparing a 150-word essay on “Why I’m interested in healthcare as a profession.” Essays can be turned in during the Teen Summit for consideration.

Teen Summits are free and open to all middle and high school aged students and their families. The event is being sponsored in part by Amerigroup Community Care and the City of Dallas.
