BLT Steak, the highly mounted Frenchy steakhouse from New York, is allegedly closing on Friday June 6.
Three people have called and/or emailed to share this rumor, one of whom is connected to a member of the kitchen staff.
A call to the restaurant asking if the rumor was true was routed to catering manager "Ashley" who pointed out that the restaurant's New York ownership made it difficult for anyone at the restaurant to discuss any impending closures that might be about to occur within, say, the next 8 hours, and that her boss had just gone to the bank and therefore wasn't able to come to the phone.
I'd say that, if you like BLT Steak, you ought to make a reservation for tonight.

Why did they say "Ashley" like that's not really her name. I know the catering manager there, and her name really is Ashley. It's even on their website...
