After surrendering an insane amount of runs in their previous four games --and having their starters last a combined ten innings in the last four games-- Rangers starter Kevin Millwood provided the Rangers with the stability they needed. Millwood gave up four runs in the first, but was dominant after that, pitching six innings and giving up nothing else. Millwood allowed nine hits, walked none and struck out six.

The Rangers lineup roughed up former Cy Young winner C.C. Sabathia once again, dropping the ace to 3-8 on the season with a 4.81 ERA.

Michael Young extended his hitting streak to a major league-best 21 games with another three-hit performance, including a solo home run in the eighth, a double, two RBI and a pair of runs scored. Young is now hitting .306 on the season.

Unfortunately, fellow hitting streaker Ian Kinsler went 0-for-4 to end his at 19 games. Josh Hamilton also went 0-for-4.

Milton Bradley continued his amazing tear, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI, including his fourth home run in the last three games.
