Sundance Square outdoor movie series starts June 12 in Fort Worth
Kicking off the second annual “Stars under the Stars” movie series at Sundance Square in Fort Worth will be a free screening of Hairspray, the movie based on the broadway musical based on John Waters' campy original film. (Pause for breath). The date: Thurs., June 12.
The show - to be projected on a 50 x 40 ft. outdoor screen - starts at dusk in the Chisholm Trail parking lot (at Fourth & Main St.); gates will open at 7 p.m. if you want to get there early and grab a prime viewing locality. All Sundance Square lots and garages (it says here) will be open for free parking after 5 p.m.
No coolers are allowed, but beverages (and food!) will be hawked by on-premises vendors for your potential partaking pleasure. Movie-goers are encouraged to bring their own folding chairs or blankets for sitting purposes.
Upcoming shows on the “Stars under the Stars” screening agenda include Ghostbusters on June 19; Gremlins on June 26; Apollo 13 on July 3; and Spiderman on July 10.
Sounds like a fun, free time at the movies.
