The Guided by God's Spirit Convention will be hitting the Fort Worth Convention Center over various weekends through June, July, and August. Expecting attendance numbers upwards of 7,000 Jehovah's Witnesses each weekend, the area can expect something around 42,000 over the course of the summer. According to the linked article, the first three weekends will be in English, the following three in Spanish. Ending the article the S-T gives you some numbers concerning Jehovah's Witnesses in this area and nationwide. We also have some numbers for you to consider.
Jehovah's Math
According to the 2004 Census, Fort Worth contains 195,000 occupied homes. Traveling at a rate of one house for every five minutes (allowing for the average between interested occupants and those not home or non-believing) over the course of 18 days (six, three-day weekends), allowing about 14 hours of light per day for the summer months, 7,000 Jehovah's Witnesses (3,500 pairs) at any given time could proselytize 10,584,000 homes. Or, every occupied home in Fort Worth 54.27 times.
Plan summer vacations accordingly.

The Trains at NorthPark Oh, no! Godzilla got into the Northpark train exhibit! But don't worry, the engineers will have it back up and running in time for your mall visit. And now, BEFORE the big holiday rush, is the best time to see them, before hundreds of drooling children take over the enclosure after Thanksgiving. More info

Isn't one of their key beliefs that only 144,000 people will get into heaven?
Seems that with every new person converted, you're lowering your odds.

WHO ARE JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES?
The central CORE doctrine of the Watchtower, the reason they came into existence was to proclaim Jesus Christ second coming in 1914.They will now deny that they ever made this claim, that's called bait & switch
The Watchtower is big money, being one of the top 40 New York City Corporations making nearly one billion dollars a year. That’s just from one of their many corporations. They pay no municipal taxes on their buildings, without even one charity to compensate the community.
Most Church's don't pay taxes either, but most mainstream churches are abundant in humanitarian charities.Think if you have ever seen a Jehovah Witness food pantry or soup kitchen for the needy?
For 50 plus years the masthead of the Watchtower, viewed when you opened up to the inside front cover would read as follows:
"This magazine(Watchtower) builds up confidence in the Creators PROMISE of a peaceful and secure "new world" before the generation "that witnessed" the EVENTS OF 1914 passes away"". By their own admission the Watchtowers has published this dogma in hundreds of millions of pieces of their own literature.
They deleted this false Adventist millerite derived prophecy in 1995 because it had FAILED. The Watchtower leadership has "purged" hundreds of thousands of followers over the years for failing to uphold the 1914 (Jesus came to power) loyalty oath to this now defunct dogma.
The Bible clearly warns to turn away from false prophets. -- Danny Haszard Jehovah's Witness X 33 years http://www.freeminds.org

To quote L. Ron Hubbard, which I try never to do, "...If you want to get rich, you start a religion."
There is nothing new here. Organized religion is a very scary thing.

I had to shoo them away from my front door in Garland just yesterday. I told them I definitely didn't need anything they were selling, and then suggested they consider getting real lives.
They looked at me kinda funny when I shut the door on them.
I was proud of myself for being so unusually polite.

I hate door to door salesmen. But if you're going to knock on my door and try to sell me a 'product' (such as any religion) for me to be interested, your product needs to be worth the price you have to pay for it, and actually live up to its performance claims.

You can do what my extremely right-wing aunt used to do... after decades of trying in vain to convert them (-sigh!- bless her little heart).
Take their literature, thank them politely as you are "Late for a meeting" and then hand them the booklet left by the last salesmen as you bid them "Good day."
For such a "Godly" woman, that was pure evil genius.
Till then I didn't think Republicans grokked recycling?

Jason,
I agree your "Godly" aunt's solution was "pure evil genius".
I love it!
I've recycled in a similar fashion by taking Andy Rooney's suggestion...Take the postage paid envelope from one junk-mail-advertising and insert the literature of another junk-mail-advertising and mail it...repeating until you've sent it all back all switched out. But I never thought about doing what your clever little aunt did. :)
