Blue Mesa Grill and Fearing’s in Dallas earn international awards for best brunch

Blue Mesa's brunch is $16.95 per person and includes champagne, Mimosas, coffee, tea, or soft drinks.

Blue Mesa Grill and Fearing's were both awarded for "Best Brunch" in the International Restaurant & Hotel Awards for 2008.

Blue Mesa won third prize for its brunch in the "value restaurants" category, while Fearing's earned second place in the best brunch/luxury category.

According to the Web site, the International Restaurant & Hotel Awards is the world's most prestigious awards recognizing the best value, moderate, and luxury travel establishments in the industry, and is in a league with the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards. Except that there are no movie stars in attendance.

The Website also says that, in the 2007/2008 awards season, IRHA received submissions from more than 50 countries around the world, and that the jury reviewed submissions from bed & breakfasts, top restaurants, major chains, six-star luxury hotels, boutique hotels, and independent restaurants and hotels in April and May of 2008.

Other categories for judgment include Best Design, Best Views, Best Citywide/Regional Cuisine, Best Specialty Item, Best Ethnic Cuisine, Most Organic/Sustainable, Best Wine List, Best Dessert, Best New Restaurant of the Year, and International Restaurant of the Year. The International Restaurant & Hotel Awards is a division of International Hospitality Awards, Inc.
