Bangladeshi Association to hold convention in Dallas

DALLAS The 22nd Convention of Federation of Bangladeshi Associations in North America (FOBANA) will be hosted by the Bangladesh Association of North Texas (BANT) during July 3 through July 5, 2008 at the Black Academy of Arts and Letters at the Dallas Convention Center. The yearly FOBANA Convention is considered to be the largest single annual gathering of the Bangladeshis living in North America. About 5,000 Bangladeshis are expected to attend the convention this year.
Since its foundation, Bangladesh Association of North Texas has been dedicated to uphold the rich socio-cultural heritage of Bangladesh and to foster cultural diversity in North America. BANT is truly honored to be the only organization to host such a well-respected national convention for the third time in Dallas.
2008 Convention of Federation of Bangladeshi Associations in North America (FOBANA)

A wide variety of cultural programs will be the highlights of FOBANA 2008 Convention. There will be special forums and seminars focusing on political, social, technological, medical/health, environmental and economic issues of bilateral interest between Bangladesh, USA and Canada attended by a number of distinguished speakers, scholars and experts in their respective areas from Bangladesh and North America to participate in these symposiums.
The 2008 Convention has brought a lot of enthusiasm in the Bangladeshi community living in North Texas. It has brought a lot of commercial opportunity for the local businesses and entrepreneurs. Show booths and Advertisement opportunities are available at the convention.
