Guy gets death sentence for killing woman in Dallas 17 years ago
Convicted killer Karl Eugene Chamberlain was put to death via lethal injection Wednesday for raping and shooting Felecia Prechtl at her Dallas apartment in 1991. It took 11 years to carry out the sentence. Texas' death penalty has been on hold for nine months because of a court challenge claiming that lethal injection is cruel.
