Coppell camp counselors fired for hazing campers
Campers were forced to crawl on hot asphalt, burning and blistering their hands.
COPPELL Two recent college graduates working at a city-run day camp have been fired after forcing campers between the ages of 12 and 14 to crawl on a hot asphalt track, burning and blistering the campers' hands. The counselors were punishing campers for being loud during a movie.

Wow, very unfortunate AND very unusual in Coppell. I AM surprised that 12 -14 year olds would comply with those instructions, though. I don't think my kids would have at that age. Obviously they are in no way at fault, though. You never know what kind of vibe was given off by those counselors. Maybe time to hire adults, although I worked in a similar situation when I was in college, and can't even imagine doing that - I LOVED the kids I worked with, and YES, they could be obnoxious at times!
