Coppell High School seniors Gary Hwo and Ryan Tunel each were awarded a $1,000 scholarship during a brunch held at the Helping Hands Garden on May 31.
The awards were presented to Gary and Ryan by Coppell High School Environmental Studies instructor Holly Hubenak and Coppell Community Garden president Karen Pearsall.
Gary and Ryan received word of their scholarships on May 20. They look pretty happy in this picture, don't they?
Rock on, green-friendly guys.

Very nice! Karen has done a great job with the gardens, and the farmer's market is really quite impressive, considering the size of the town. Very cool organic offerings, exotic cheeses... even meats, too, when I've been. Yum.
