Coppell “Spirit of Service” youth leaders to be honored during 4th of July parade
The City of Coppell Parks and Recreation Dept. folks have reached across the organizational aisle to their GetConnected! brethren to honor youth from the various schools in the Coppell ISD who have demonstrated their commitment to service in the community.
Design tip for Coppell Spirit of Service honorees: this float works as both a float, and as part of a float. If you see what I mean.
As part of the recognition doled out to these selected "Spirit of Service" youth leaders, they will be featured in the city's 4th of July parade, riding on a float that they themselves have decked out. They will presumably be smiling and waving during their grand tour of the parade route (starting at 10 a.m. on July 4), so get ready for that action.
(Perhaps they'll be instructed in the energy saving British royalty wave. One can only hope.)
This honoring of student service leaders (chosen by the principals of the schools they attend) is intended to be the first of a series of annual such events. Gaze in wonderment upon the 40 community assets leading to strong youth right here. (Or, you could go this route.)
