Dallas ISD to host Major Mania event for 2008 graduates
DALLAS The Dallas Independent School District will host a Major Mania event for its 2008 high school graduates at 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 24, at North Dallas High School, 3120 N. Haskell, at the freshman center.
The Major Mania event is a partnership between Dallas ISD, the Career Counseling Center, and the Dallas County Community Colleges. Graduates from 2008 who have not yet chosen a college or career, will be able to learn more about the special programs available at the community colleges and select a college that best fits their career goals.
On-site admission will be available at the event, as well assistance with financial aid, the Rising Star Scholarship, selecting a major, and receiving official transcripts.
The Career Counseling Center also offers Dallas ISD graduates assistance with post-secondary planning and employment needs for up to one year after graduation.
