Prego Pasta House in North Dallas closed for now due to gas leak
DALLAS The North Dallas branch of Prego Pasta House shut down yesterday, and it seems unlikely it will re-open, according to an employee at the branch on Greenville Avenue.
"They had some problems -- a real bad gas leak under the building," the employee said.
It seems unlikely the place will re-open any time soon -- if at all. According to said employee, the lease was about to expire. For now, the landlord will have to go in and repair the gas leak, preventing the restaurant from re-opening at that location soon. Would it withstand finding a new location?
It opened on Trinity Mills Road near the Tollway nearly 10 years ago, in November 1998; the original on Greenville Avenue has been open since 1982. Prego is noted for its Campisi's-like thin-crust pizza and its house-made sausage.
