Parker schedules two consecutive-day city council meetings at Southfork Ranch

On Monday, June 16 and Tuesday, June 17, councilfolk will convene in the Dallas Palace Meeting Center in J.R.'s old TV homestead.

On Monday, June 16 and again on Tuesday, June 17, the Parker City Council will be holding special off-site business meetings in the Dallas Palace room at Southfork Ranch.

The Monday agenda, beginning at 4 p.m., includes: 1. a planning session, followed by 2. adjournment.

That's it - that's all - nothing else to talk about.

Now, when we get to the Tuesday meeting, which also starts at 4 p.m., there's actually more going on, to include: 1. a planning session and 3. adjournment; but sandwiched in between those two will be 2. "deliberation and/or any appropriate action on the design, construction and financing of a new fire station."

So there's that.

As J.R. Ewing was wont to say: "All that matters is winning. And adjourning." (O.K., he didn't really say that last part, but wouldn't it have been awesome if he had?)

Might I humbly suggest an item 3. for Monday, and an identical item 4. for Tuesday, to wit: adjournment to the pool for a cool-down after all that heated action.
