Arlington police were undoubtedly trying to avoid a situation similar to that of earlier this year when Khandi Busby threw herself and her children off a Dallas overpass. A 27-year-old Bedford woman and her two young sons were parked on the overpass at 360 and I-20 for much of Sunday night until Arlington police and negotiators were called in. The woman eventually decided to go with police and she and her children were taken to a Fort Worth hospital.
Sections of 360 and I-20 were closed during the 5-hour standoff.

Great, a new epidemic to deal with. Hopefully this one stops here.
