Dallas-centric film The Night of the White Pants finally coming out on DVD in October
Released in 2006 and featured in the first AFI Dallas festival, the Dallas-centric film The Night of the White Pants will now be released to DVD sometime in October 2008.

The news comes from the film's email newsletter team, who announced in April that a DVD release was likely but were unable to secure a date.
When asked by PegNews in April of this year, director and Dallasite Amy Talkington (separate interview here), said the two-year-long gap was mostly the natural consequence of trying to get a smallish indie film picked up by a distributor.
The film, starring Selma Blair, Nick Stahl and Tom Wilkinson, is set in Dallas and follows the dysfunctional family of an aging oil tycoon (Wilkinson). Local favorites such as the Double Wide are prominently featured in the film, and the historic East Dallas home depicted has actually belonged to the Talkington family for nearly a century.
