WHITE ROCK HILLS FRI has launched its 2008 "We're Rising" Membership Drive. From now through the end of Summer, FRI will embark on a community outreach program designed to assist in achieving our goal for complete Economic Revitalization of the White Rock Hills community.
Known as a national model for effective community change, FRI serves more than 40,000 residents in 20 neighborhoods in the White Rock Hills area with its U.S. Department of Justice Weed & Seed program that "weeds" out crime and "seeds" economic development.
FRI has also completely redesigned its website, adding more neighborhood info and a decidedly more modern design.

I really hope this works, this area is really ripe for real economic development, especially along ferguson itsself. One thing that would expedite this is taking down alot of the older apartment complexes and building better, but affordable properties in their place.
