Hard Rock Cafe coming back to Dallas?
Robert Wilonsky from Unfair Park did some digging this morning and found out that Hard Rock International maybe/possibly/just might be putting both a new Hard Rock Cafe and Hard Rock Hotel in Dallas.
Of course, given the massive vagueness in the press release he was sent, it could all be just a big tease. When it comes to Dallas and the Hard Rock Cafe, the glass is usually half-empty.

Maybe they could move in to another historic landmark and kill two birds with one stone (historic preservation & new hotel)

Why doesn't the city, who's planning a convention hotel anyway, get together with Hard Rock and turn Dallas into a musical destination befitting of it's rich musical history?
How's that for outside the box?

Not a bad idea...Hard Rock Hotel for Dallas could bring in tons of cash to the local economy, as well as provide that link to the local music scene. Ive been to a couple of the locations (LV/Orlando) and they know how to take care of their guests.

A historic building like Union Banker's Trust in Ellum? The perfect marriage of music and a place which needs a hotel.

Good idea Rick - but it's not going to happen.
Unless it's a designer bridge (a what?), a park surrounded by a high-speed toll road, or something else that is a high-expense, low or non-existent return on investment - the city of Dallas doesn't seem interested.
Why invest in something that might help the city when you can burn through money for pretty-projects instead?

Here is the plan you Hard Rock Fans. This is what I have been told by my sources, not that any of them know anything. The new Hard Rock is going to be built around the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium. Not a bad idea. Even a hotel near by.
