SMU and University Park may allow 3 person panel to decide Potomac Park’s value
UNIVERSITY PARK — In May 2007, voters seemed eager to unload Potomac Park in order to build the Bush Library on the site. Then SMU was quoted a far higher selling price than the appraised value pre-election. Now UP and SMU are considering naming one person each to a panel, with a third tie-breaking panelist selected by the two appointees -- and those would decide the fair value of the property, according to the DMN.
